Chelsea makes a decision on the future of midfielder Jorginho.

Jorginho has defined his future. Chelsea has reached an agreement with rival Arsenal for the sale of the 31-year-old midfielder, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano. The player has agreed to personal terms and will sign a contract with the Premier League leader until 2024, with a possibility of renewing for one more year.

Arsenal will pay 12 million pounds (approximately $16.5 million) for Jorginho's transfer. The midfielder is in the final stages of his contract with Chelsea, and the club sees it as a good opportunity to profit from the deal.

According to the journalist, coach Mikel Arteta was a decisive factor in the transfer agreement on the last day of the European winter transfer window. The coach is a fan of the player and wanted him on his team. Jorginho joined Chelsea in 2018 from Napoli. For the club from the blue side of London, the midfielder has 213 games, 29 goals scored, and nine assists, as well as titles such as the Champions League, Europa League, and FIFA Club World Cup. In the current season, the athlete has played 25 games for Chelsea and scored three goals.
