Fans of the NFL believe that the Chiefs vs Bengals game was rigged, due to strange footage appearing to confirm their suspicions.



Fans of the NFL believed that the AFC Championship Game was manipulated on Sunday night, causing the term "NFL rigged" to trend on social media during the Chiefs vs Bengals game.

Evidence of NFL manipulation was seen as the referees awarded an extra play to the Chiefs on 3rd and 9 and then penalized the Bengals for holding on the following play.


Fans expressed their frustration around a controversial play in the 4th quarter when the game was tied 20-20 at Arrowhead Stadium. A video titled "proof the NFL is rigged" was widely shared online and showed an official ending a play for an unclear reason.

The Chiefs ended up getting an extra play out of it that proved critical.

This resulted in "NFL rigged" trending on social media. Kansas City secured the AFC Championship Game win with a late field goal, after Cincinnati was penalized for a late hit on quarterback Patrick Mahomes, positioning the Chiefs for a field goal opportunity.

Kansas City's 23-20 victory included several controversial calls. The Chiefs will face the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl on February 12th in Arizona.
